Systems Integration Planning and Design
Infusion
will examine business functions and processes to determine interactions
and interdependencies. Those discovered interactions and
interdependencies are used to determine required automation of data and
processes between line-of-business software.
Data
specifications are developed, application connectors are defined,
transactional requirements are specified, workflow requirements are
determined, data transformation requirements are identified and
integration frameworks are recommended.
An
examination of informal systems and methods is undertaken to determine
how information workers accomplish their jobs without automated
methods. Special consideration is given to data taxonomy,
validation and purpose, as conflicts appear quite frequently in
application integration projects.
